Punjab 1984 movie review:'Punjab 1984' was also expected to be one of the same topic movie but against the expectations of theme, it has been the story of a mother’s pain and a son’s battle for survival with respect.

Story – "Punjab 1984" Shivjeet Singh Maan (Diljit Dosanjh) is a humorous and aggressive guy who is in love with her neighbor girl Jeeti (SonamBajwa). But apart from love he has to deal with a property problem with one of his village men. The circumstantial bolt fell on Shivjeet’s family when his father gets shot dead. After the death of his father Shiva changes into a very severe character. One day he also gets into the clutch of a crooked police officer, Deep Singh Rana (Pawan Raj Malhotra). Shivjeet’s mother Satwant Kaur pleads for her son but his son gets involve into a community which is against the government and police. Characters: Diljit Dosanjh has played more of a humorous characters in most of his movies and people started to believe that he is kind of stuck in that character but how well he has come out of it and delivered an splendid performance in Punjab 1984. He has been that outstanding that this character will leave such marks on people which can’t be forgotten easily. Kirron Kher has already got some memorable characters associated with her in Bollywood movies and the role of Diljit’s mother in this movie is as equal as some of her top performances. Pawan Raj Malhotra is another famous Bollywood face featuring in this movie and he also has brought out a fabulous negative character. This is Sonam Bajwa’s second movie after Best of Luck. She looks very impressive and promising as the lead actress. Rana Ranbir has the short stay in the story but it has been an impeccable piece of work from him. Other supporting cast like Gurcharan Channi, Arun Bali and Manav Vij, all have been up to the mark at their characters.
Music and Background Score – All Music tracks of Movie are wonderful but Songs like ‘Channo’ Song’ , ‘Lori’ and ‘Kismat’ are best tracks of the albums. Music is composed by Nick Dhammu.
